5P Interpretive Center

The 5ivePlanets Interpretive Center was founded in 2010 in Nishiya, Asahi Ward, Yokohama to serve as a demonstration and education base for various 5ivePlanet initiatives and projects. The small residence which houses meeting rooms, education space and the FivePlanets head office, has been modified to produce food, energy and recycle waste to resources. The ongoing project aims to eventually have wind and solar power to generate 100% of its energy and resource needs.

The center is located in a home donated by the Ogura family. Part of a larger initiative to create a sustainable green economic zone in Asahi-ku, our projects aim to inform and involve the local community and serve as a development hub and incubator for organic growth in the area.

Visitors may view the onsite aquaponics, bio-char and eco house features. Contact Us for more information on tours and upcoming investor salons.
